Job Description : GENERAL ACCOUNTING HEAD GERMANY Leadership, motivation and development of the team Ensuring proper bookkeeping and accounting Preparation and monitoring of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB & IFRS Close collaboration with other departments such as controlling, financial planning and tax departments Identification of potential for optimization in the processes of general ledger accounting and implementation of appropriate measures Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyzes for senior management Contact person for external auditors and tax advisors Completed degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on accounting/finance or a comparable qualification Several years of relevant professional experience in accounting, preferably in a management position Sound knowledge of national and international accounting standards (HGB & IFRS) Experience in using accounting software (AS400 / System21 desirable) and MS Office, especially Excel Strong analytical skills and an eye for details Team-oriented leader with excellent communication and organizational skills Proficient in German and English
