Chief Operating Officer

Job Description : COO SPAIN FOR PLASTICS an important multinational corporation from the province of Alicante dedicated to the injection and manufacturing of plastic products, with a global presence and a strong commitment to sustainability. In the pursuit of excellence and constant growth, we are looking for a Corporate Director of Operations reporting directly to General Management (CEO). MISSION Establishes and executes the operational strategies of the organization at the group level, organizing and supervising all activities of the area to guarantee efficiency, quality and profitability following the parameters established by the General Management to meet customer expectations and drive profitability. continuous improvement MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Defines the company's global operational strategy: • Establishes long-term goals and objectives. • Performs strategic planning to optimize operations. • Ensures efficiency in all aspects of the business. • Track your achievement through OKRs. Performs supply chain management: • Supervises and coordinates the supply chain in all countries in which the company operates. • Performs supplier management, logistics and inventory control. • Carry out the annual negotiation of prices and delivery times of the materials/products that are part of the Top10. • Optimizes production flows throughout the global network. • Controls and supervises its evolution, through the implementation of S&OP and IBP. Promotes continuous improvement in all operational areas: • Implements and supervises process and quality improvement plans and actions. • Track them with systems in QS and Pdco. Performs cost management and efficiency control: • Identifies opportunities to reduce costs and improve industrial efficiency. • Implement the appropriate techniques to do so. Responsible for Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance: • Identifies and manages operational risks across all company locations. • Collaborates in compliance with relevant local and international regulations: health and safety, social, environmental, organizational excellence management. Global coordination of the operations area: • Coordinates the Operations directors of the different headquarters to align the strategy. • Coordinates resources and knowledge transfer between different business units. Innovation and technology: • Promotes innovation in operations and the adoption of new technologies or materials to improve efficiency and productivity (IoT, technological advances...). PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum 25 years of experience performing similar functions in an industrial plastic injection company with production subsidiaries worldwide. TRAINING: Higher education in Engineering or Technical Areas. Specific postgraduate training in the area of operations is valuable. KNOWLEDGE: Both operational and systems (S&OP, IBP, planning sequencer...). LANGUAGES: Negotiation level English. French negotiation level or experience working with production plants in French-speaking countries. TRAVEL: Regular between the company's different production headquarters.
