Sustainability Director

Job Description : SUSTAINIBILITY DIRECTOR SPAIN Must be eligible for EU visa an important multinational corporation from the province of Alicante dedicated to the injection and manufacturing of plastic products, with a global presence and a strong commitment to sustainability. In the pursuit of excellence and constant growth, we are looking for a Sustainability Director. MISSION Focus, develop and execute the strategy and its structure in environmental terms as a lever for the organization's growth, generating and accompanying other areas in their alignment with the organization's long-term objectives and its sustainability standards. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Develop corporate sustainability strategies and support the organization: • Analyze, predict and identify the present and future of the organization (all its activities and locations) with the aim of monitoring and minimizing the environmental impact, without forgetting the needs of profitability and impact on the business. • Establish sustainable goals and objectives. • Design PDCA to achieve it. • Maintain, update and generate international regulations/standards. • Respond and advise on internal and external queries from clients, suppliers, investors or others. • Search for subsidies and alternative project financing. Compliance and monitoring of the regulatory framework and regulations in the countries of presence and strategic countries: • Be aware of the environmental, social and governance (ESG) regulations and standards that affect and may affect the company. • Ensure that the company complies with all laws and regulations necessary for the activity and marketing of products/services. • Evaluate, measure and manage the associated risks and impacts. Environmental impact management: • Evaluate and manage the environmental impact of the company's operations since its creation and throughout the value chain. (Figure of disruptive agent/instigator of change). • Implements energy efficiency practices, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, waste management, conservation of natural resources, among others. • Promotes the philosophy: ecodesign, individual and collective circularity, R's concept... Reporting and Disclosure: • Is responsible for the collection and dissemination of information related to the company's environmental and social performance. • Prepare sustainability reports, among others. • Participate in the area of communication with internal and external stakeholders. • Participate in voluntary outreach initiatives (sustainability ambassador). Collaboration and awareness: • Work closely with other departments within the company to integrate sustainability into all areas of the organization. • Lead sustainability awareness and education among employees and other stakeholders. PROFESSIONAL PROFILE PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum 25 years of experience performing functions similar to those described. TRAINING: Higher education in cc. Environmental, chemical engineering or similar.
