Chief Financial Officer

Job Description : CFO SPAIN Must be eligible for EU visa Digital Startup is looking for a CFO in Madrid, Spain. Key Responsibilities: Financial Strategy and Planning: - Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets aligned with the company's goals and objectives. - Provide financial forecasts and projections to support decision-making processes. - Assess and manage financial risks and opportunities. Financial Reporting and Analysis: - Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. - Analyze financial data to provide insights into the company's financial performance. - Present financial reports to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders. Financial Operations Management: - Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and receivables. - Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements. - Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Capital Management: - Manage the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing. - Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities. - Optimize cash flow and working capital management. Strategic Financial Planning: - Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic plan. - Assess the financial feasibility of strategic initiatives and M&A activities. - Identify and evaluate growth opportunities. Treasury and Cash Management: - Manage the company's cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships. - Make decisions regarding investments and short-term financing. Risk Management: - Assess and mitigate financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks. - Develop and maintain a risk management framework. Compliance and Regulation: - Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting standards. - Maintain a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations. Team Leadership and Development: - Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team. - Foster a culture of financial accountability and excellence. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree will be a plus). - Extensive experience in financial management, with at least 7 years in a similar position. - Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices. - Excellent analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills. - Effective leadership and communication abilities. - High level of English & Spanish. French will be a plus. - Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution. - Proficiency in financial software and systems. - Integrity and ethical conduct / Strong leadership and decision-making skills / Attention to detail and accuracy / Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines / Adaptability and a willingness to embrace change.
