Engineering Director

Job Description : MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING DIRECTOR VIETNAM ( OPEN TO EXPAT) Reporting to the VP of Operation, this position will handles the technical aspect of operation including quality, engineering & prototype. The role is responsible for accepting the Creative Brief from PD, and with the resources; Engineering, QA, BOM and Prototype create a full product spec to allow full carefree manufacturing of product Engineering: o with the engineering team produce technical drawings and specification to allow comprehensive, efficient, and trouble-free manufacturing of all product ranges. o Drive Value engineering initiatives to constantly improve product quality, manufacturability, and cost to deliver—looking at materials and direct labour drivers. QA: with the QA team prepare full QA specifications for all materials, to ensure materials meet requirements at a company and a collection specific level Create full engineering construction BOM’s, and costs sheet Lead the standardisation of methods for manufacturing process strategies/solutions. Create, implement, and maintain standardised process control plans. Identify and qualify external service suppliers (WW, hardware, frame, etc.) Provide quality management system activities to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the system, provide continuous improvement Analysis of manufacturing processes, safety and/or risk avoidance opportunities, monitoring and reviewing production problems and implement solutions Review and provide recommendation of production’s continuous improvement projects, measurement system, data collection, process capability, quality system documentation and execution. Work closely with production such as process control, manufacturing engineering, safety and environmental to help with developing and implementing solutions consistent with QA requirements Develop the strategy and detailed plan for acquisition of new technologies that will drive differentiation in our market space. Development of vision for current technologies while enhancing processes and taking systems to the next level. Oversee development of methods for test/inspection process strategies/solutions. Lead documentation of current and future value stream mapping of manufacturing or transactions-based processes. Ensure the processes, organisational capability and culture combine to consistently meet agreed commitments to customers. Must be able to build collaborative relationships with internal customers and across the organisation Create and monitor objectives, goals, strategies and measures for the teams. Establish efficient processes and systems to track and report status of initiatives to include resources, projects, savings, etc. Lead development and adoption of process performance monitors to achieve take time Become the standardise subject matter expertise for manufacturing operations to characterize and control the critical operational standards and methods that enables quality, cost and delivery on the customer products. Lead process capability matrix relative to site technology roadmap. Lead the execution of equipment installation, operational and performance qualification Strategic thinker, able to coordinate and lead multiple projects efficiently Strong technical understand of manufacturing processes Lean manufacturing oriented Cost and quality focused Understanding of customer’s requirements (fit for purpose oriented) Excellent communicator through all levels of the company Performance data driven to improve results across the departments
