General Manager Finance and Accounts

Job Description : GM FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING THAILAND t one of the renowned leading shipping companies, offering full range of solutions in the logistics and supply chain. Your main responsibility is to to support a large, complex business unit with a regional remit and be the successor of future GM position. Managing the big team of around 30 people in accounting and finance operations and reporting directly to MD. This role involves developing effective working systems, preparing annual financial budgets, coordinating with other departments, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the finance and accounting team. The Deputy GM will also play a critical role in maintaining proper accounting methods and policies according to the latest accounting standards. Oversee and manage all financial and accounting functions within the organisation Plan and develop effective working systems for corporate and liner business operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy Prepare and propose annual financial budget to the regional HQ and global HQ in Singapore Collaborate with other departments, relevant stakeholders to address finance and accounting-related issue and resolve divisional problems Foster the professional growth and competence of staffs, keeping them up-to-date with changing working procedures and accounting standards Monitor and control the collection of accounts receivable Oversee and manage the cashflow and ensure the sufficient cashflow for operations Ensure that capital expenditure aligns with the company's investment budget Verify and approve payment vouchers for management's payment approval Oversee and manage all tax-related issues and all tax compliances, ensuring timely and accuracy of the submission to the authorities Establish and enforce proper accounting methods and policies in compliance with the latest versions of accounting standards, including TFRS and IFRS To success in this Deputy GM (Finance&Accounting) position, you must possess proven track record in managing big team and well-rounded experiences in accounting, finance and tax. The career path of this role is to be the GM within 2 years. Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance or business administration Age 40 years or above Minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting, with at least 10 years in management roles SAP experience is required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented approach Demonstrated leadership abilities
