Finance Director

Job Description : FINANCE DIRECTOR VIETNAM A leading furniture manufacturing company is calling for applications for a Finance Director for their Vietnam operations. This Finance Director will be a key part of the Operations Executive Team, reporting directly to the CFO. Responsible for all aspects of general accounting, treasury & cash management, financial control, FP&A as well as finance team leadership and continuous process improvement within the finance function for all group entities. Monitor, review and verify accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness and adequacy of supporting documentation Ensure compliance with internal policies, governmental regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles for the jurisdiction that requires it (VAS & IFRS are the most critical) Collaborate with various departments to streamline monthly closing process and to develop internal control system and procedural documentation Work closely with external partners and stakeholders; these include banks, auditors, insurers and tax & customs authorities Work with tax advisors to revise the transfer pricing set up to reflect our supply chain Evaluate and advise on the impact of new government programs which may affect the company Day-to-day cash management including direct and indirect cash flow forecasting Optimise funding and cash through bank relationship management, FX management and minimising interest on borrowing Optimise funding and cash through bank relationship management, FX management and minimising interest on borrowing Drive improvement of cost accounting accuracy and a move to activity-based costing Implement and maintain strong governance and controls around inventory Monitor monthly operating result against standard costing, forecast and budget including analyse variances - monthly, quarterly, and coordinate with other functions to review, monitor and drive business performance Ensure that effective internal controls are in place to support IFRS / VAS and applicable Vietnam local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting and compliance Finance policies & procedures – build a fit for purpose group finance manual Prepare and submit monthly management and financial reporting and relevant analyses in a precise and timely manner Collate all inputs from various departments and perform consolidation for quarterly forecast, annual budget and business plan Prepare quarterly/rolling forecast and annual budget including financial statements, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, highlighting exceptions for discussion and decision making Participate with ad hoc financial analysis and projects designed to gather data and improve operational efficiencies Assist in developing business performance reporting capability and financial management tools Lead, direct and manage a finance team, overseeing and directing financial/accounting & reporting functions for all company entities, with a focus on improving the effectiveness and streamlining the finance function Lead the finance ERP module implementation and ensure other modules are ‘fit for purpose’ to support financial accounting & reporting requirement with adequate controls in place Drive efficiency in financial accounting and reporting by streamlining processes and controls Certified Accountant with Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent Minimum 10 years of relevant experiences in financial reporting and accounting including experience in a manufacturing environment Strong audit experience - VAS & IFRS ideally Extensive manufacturing cost accounting expertise Financial controller / director experience with supportive leadership attributes Experience within an international group advantageous
