Job Description : Head Engineering Services Business/Function/Site Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania Department Engineering Services Direct Reporting Chief Operations Officer Direct Reports QC & RTG Maintenance Manager, Preventive Maintenance Manager, Workshop Manager, Project Manager and Facility Manager Job Purpose To be responsible for maintenance/ repairs of port’s equipment/Electrical / Civil/Instrumentation systems/Mobile equipment. Responsible for executing small and medium civil. Mechanical, electrical and automation projects, ensure spare parts availability, indigenization of spare parts and manage new technology introduction in the port. Key Accountabilities 1 To plan, Execute and control Breakdown/Preventive/Predictive maintenance of Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Civil Systems 2 To plan, execute and control Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/CWS projects being executed by the Port Maintenance Team 3 To be a nodal interface for communicating with PMC for new projects based on the business needs / modification to the existing infrastructure in consultation with PMC & master plan of Adani 4 To Conduct technical evaluation, select and advise for procuring best in class equipment to meet the current and future needs of port. 5 To Identify & improve productivity by debottlenecking the Equipment and Processes 6 To develop leadership pipeline in ES department. 7 Ensure Business efficiency through planning in terms of personnel, cost, material, equipment availability and reliability 8 Ensure that all container-handling equipment is maintained to the highest possible standards in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations 9 Ensure safety compliance as prescribed by OSHA and all equipments are safe to operate and safety devises are full functional at all times.
