Job Description : OPERATIONS MANAGER LIVERPOOL, UK Candidate must have right to work in the UK or be eligible to apply for working rights A global manufacturing business in the Merseyside area are looking for an Operations Manager to join their business. As an Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production while maintaining the highest quality standards, safety protocols, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires exceptional leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes. Production Management: Lead and supervise the production team to meet production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules. Continuously improve manufacturing processes and work flows to maximise efficiency. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to ensure that our vehicles meet or exceed industry standards. Develop and execute quality improvement initiatives. Resource Allocation: Manage resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to optimise productivity and minimise waste. Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials. Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a culture of safety within the manufacturing facility. Ensure that all safety regulations and guidelines are followed by employees. Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, closely monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for cost reduction. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma, to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and increase overall operational efficiency. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing operations team. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Reporting: Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, and safety. Present findings and recommendations to senior management. Proven experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control systems. Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performance teams. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools for process optimisation. Exceptional communication and leadership skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
