Accounting and Finance Head

Job Description : ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE HEAD THAILAND ( OPEN TO EXPATS) A rapidly expanding retailer is looking for a Head of Accounting & Finance (X1 vacancy) in Bangkok to take on a crucial role. In this job, you will lead a team and be responsible for all finance and accounting-related functions. Reporting to VP-Head of Accounting & Finance, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the finance and accounting functions of joint venture entities, both domestic and overseas. You will be responsible for overseeing the SOP, managing ongoing financial operations, ensuring compliance with legal and tax regulations, and aligning the joint ventures' financial strategies with company goals. Lead the finance and accounting teams for joint venture entities, providing strategic direction and guidance Ensure compliance with statutory, corporate, and local tax regulations Set up new entities in accordance with shareholder agreements, property management agreements, and related agreements Oversee the implementation of business plans and budget controls Drive improvements in back-office systems to enhance efficiency Optimise working capital management, focusing on debtors and receivables Review cash analyses to support treasury and liquidity management functions Oversee cashflow management to ensure adequate liquidity and financial stability Serve as the main point of contact for requests for reports and information from related entities Supervise and mentor finance and accounting associates, both Thai and non-Thai Coordinate with senior executives in the group, including Finance & Accounting, FP&A, Business Development, and Legal, to ensure alignment with company objectives Manage relationships with external parties such as auditors, tax consultants, lawyers, and regulatory authorities when necessary To success in this Head of Accounting & Finance position, you must possess good understanding of accounting knowledge, practices and familiar with IFRS. The good command of English is required. Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting Experienced from External Auditor from Big 4 is preferable Minimum 10 years' experience in Accounting and finance with proven track record in finance operations CPA is a plus Knowledge in Thai and international accounting standard, tax and commercial law Strong leadership skill, result-oriented and good problem-solving skills Good communication and interpersonal skills
