Financial Controller

Job Description : FC SYDNEY AUSTRALIA AUS 200-240K PA Prefer South Asians will lead a qualified team of 7 Accountants and will report directly into the CFO. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar FC position within Financial Services with extensive team leadership exposure. Oversee and manage the month-end, half year and year-end processes ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the balance sheet reconciliations and P&L review Review and prepare group financial reporting; internal and external reporting Drive process improvement to the financial control process Interpret and document accounting policies under IFRS as required Managing the statutory accounts and external audit processes; half year and year end Complete tax returns and other statutory compliance requirements such as BAS and payroll tax Provide financial and analytical support to the CFO and CEO Monitor the daily regulatory requirements to ensure compliance such as core capital requirements Monitor financial details to ensure compliance with loan covenant Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders; internal and external Liaise with bankers, auditors, external consultants, tax authorities and tax accountants Key Requirements: 10+ years Financial Accounting/Financial Control experience required CA/CPA qualification or equivalent essential Financial Services experience required Experience leading a team of qualified accountants across various levels Excellent written & verbal communication skills required
