Commercial Finance Manager 

Job Description : COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER UK Looking for candidate with 15+ years experience and for candidates who can work or can get working rights to work in the UK Are you a strong Commercial Finance Manager looking for your next challenge within a fast growing industry. A brand new role has been created at a senior level within the business, and they are looking for someone who can take a hands-on approach of all things finance, wants that face to face interaction and has strong relationship building skills. • Main holder of the divisional profit and cashflow sheet investigating potential issues (Risk v profitability) • Update sheet with general non-project related information such as overheads and non-project income • Report on variances to forecast when results actualise • Exposure to executive management who will be directly receiving the output from this role • Attend regular meetings with the commercial teams building a relationship to facilitate information flow • Update project forecasts on a regular basis • Challenge forecasts made by the operations teams • Awareness of detail surrounding individual project working capital • Understanding of process surrounding projects, the sales pipeline and reporting on programme • Update & maintain the WIP on a monthly basis in line with the deadline • Liaise with sales ledger staff to summarise any late applications or certificates outstanding and load onto WIP report • Resolve and discrepancies between the WIP sheet & the certificates, liaising with Finance Team & Project Managers as required • Review outstanding debtors/creditors ledger with appropriate finance team members to ensure the correct actions are followed and project profiles reflect this New Acquisitions • Build relationship with relevant commercial resource within the acquired business becoming familiar with their operations • Work with FD & HoF to quickly understand how existing information captured within the business can be harvested to translate into profit/cash forecast • If insufficient, recommend who/what information must be collected Other Duties • Support the HoF/FD with any financial analysis as required • Produce quality and timely reports as requested • Streamline and drive continuous improvement within the finance function • Other ad-hoc reports/duties as required Requirements: • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) • Experience partnering with and challenging “non-finance people”
