General Manager

Job Description : GM CONSTRUCTION MALAYSIA · Reporting to the Managing Director · Responsible for the overall performance of the Contracting and Sales & Marketing activities by developing annual business plan for each dept and on-going management of financial performance to ensure business plans and targets are met · Accountable for business development of industrial project opportunities and new lines of products with new & existing clients · Provide leadership to ensure bidding strategy is implemented to optimize revenue and margin to meet departmental targets · Able to provide leadership, mentorship and development of sales & contracting team · Prepare staff development and succession plans of key positions in the departments · Establish and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and work force Requirements: · Candidate must possess a Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering, those who possess other degrees but with sufficient work experience in related work can also be considered · At least 15 years in construction industry preferably on industrial piping work & installation of equipments of industrial plants · Experience in thermal insulation project will be an added advantage · Ability to evaluate employees and deployment of field resources on projects of various size · Ability to manage the operational and financial performance of the company · Project Management expertise · High communication skills, both oral & written with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with clients, team, peers and subcontractors · Demonstrate ability to use good business judgement and proven leadership for people of all levels
