Job Description : COMMERCIAL STRATEGY DIRECTOR VIETNAM ( OPEN TO EXPATS) An exciting Commercial Strategy Director job has become available at a leading retail company, based in HCMC. Reporting directly to COO, this is the role for the person who is a leader in their field. The position is responsible for creating and executing commercial strategies to achieve the company's goals, ensuring customer satisfaction, financial stability, and data-driven decision-making. This role also involves managing commercial operations, category and supplier management, business development, customer relationship management, P&L management, market intelligence, cross-functional collaboration, and team management. Develop and execute the company's commercial strategy, identify market opportunities, and create plans to maximise revenue and market share Manage daily commercial operations, develop commercial plans, set targets, monitor performance, and implement effective sales and marketing strategies Identify new product development opportunities, evaluate expansion options, and negotiate strategic alliances to drive business growth Build and maintain strong customer relationships, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for business development Oversee pricing strategies, ensure optimal pricing for products, and monitor pricing effectiveness Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats Collaborate with various departments to align commercial objectives with overall business goals and foster cross-functional teamwork and communication Develop KPIs, align targets with direct line manager, manage team performance, and ensure a positive work environment More than 10 years of experience in the retail industry with extensive commercial knowledge across various markets Proven track record of successfully turning around business situations, building and managing partner relationships, and human resource management and staff development Demonstrable and excellent skills in leadership and management Strategic thinking and implementation, negotiation, business development, commercial financial analysis Problem-solving and decision-making, and executive presentation
