Logistics Coordination: Efficiently plan and coordinate transportation, managing break bulk and container shipments for timely delivery. Collaborate with stakeholders, addressing potential issues proactively. 2. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and review crucial shipping documents, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and industry-specific requirements. Stay updated with any relevant changes. 3. Supplier and Vendor Management: Cultivate relationships, negotiate terms for shipping services, and monitor carrier performance. Resolve disputes with stakeholders related to shipping activities. 4. Cost Optimisation: Implement strategies to optimise shipping costs, including consolidation and rate negotiation. Analyse expenses, recommend improvements, and manage related budgets and forecasts. 5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential shipping risks, including damage, theft, and regulatory compliance. Handle insurance coverage and claims, emphasising safety and security standards. 6. Team Management: Lead and support a team of shipping coordinators, fostering a positive work environment.
