Job Description : Chief Operating Officer /Chief Technology Officer -Fermentation -API Purpose: Manage the Manufacturing Operations through Effective Utilization of Resources for Continuous Improvement in Business Deliverables, Adherence to Statutory Compliance & Management of Internal / External Environment The Incumbent Would be Responsible for Manufacturing Operations / Production, Engineering & Utilities, Quality, Human Resources, General Administration / Security, Commercial etc Key Responsibilities: Operations Management Implement Manufacturing Strategy & Strategic / Operational Goals to Exceed Customer Expectations for Product Quality, Cost & Delivery. This Role Encompasses Complete Overall Responsibility of Managing the Operations, & lead Cross functional Teams Determines the Manufacturing Execution as Per Demand Plan, Capacity Utilization & Delivery. Provide Clear leadership & Vision, Inspire & Motivate Team to Achieve Excellence & Mentor them to Develop as Future Leaders. Responsible for Developing the Appropriate Organization Structure, Resource Plans & Build Culture to Support the Business Objectives. Drive KPI’s Across all Areas of the Manufacturing Function to Ensure that the Products are Delivered on Cost & On Time to the Highest Quality Standards. Operational Excellence Direct & Drive Implement Lean Strategy & Drive Continuous Improvement Across the Manufacturing Maximizing Efficiency, Optimizing Production levels & Driving Operational Excellence. Introduce World Class Manufacturing Practices to Improve Product Quality & Process Improvements Cost & Productivity Ensure Identification of Improvement Opportunities. Plan & Implement the Approved Plans. Benchmarks & Introduce Best Manufacturing Practices Review Utilities, Engineering & All Non-Manufacturing Functions With Teams to Support Manufacturing in Delivering Uninterrupted Services People Development & Leadership Development Coach, Mentor & Develop Direct Reports & Manage a High Performing Team that Delivers Continuous Improvement Statutory Compliance Ensure Systems & Processes for Compliance to Statutory Regulations. Review & Monitor Deviations from laws, Rules & Established Practices. Health Safety & Environment Ensure Compliance of All Legal Requirements. Safety, Health & Environment Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental Issues are Prioritized & Facilitated. Effective Plans to Aim at ZERO Injury through Review of Plans & Employee Participation in Safety Drive Review Environmental Strategies that Impact on Future Ways of Operating & ensure Implementation where Possible Review the Use of Technological Systems that Support a More Environmentally friendly Approach Govt & Community Liaison & CSR Qualification & Exp. BE- Chemical / MSc with about 25 years of exp. in Managing Plant Operations of Professionally Managed Large Organisation in Fermentation based API of Large Capacity
