Job Description : GM TRUCKING INDONESIA A leading 3PL logistics company is recruiting for a General Manager Trucking job for their team in East Jakarta. In this General Manager Trucking job, you will be responsible for leading and oversee all aspects of trucking operations. This is a great opportunity for the General Manager Trucking (Logistics) to redevelop systems and processes. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations for customers. Provide strategic direction and leadership to the trucking division to achieve operational excellence Oversee and manage daily trucking operations, including route planning, load scheduling, and driver management Ensure the maintenance, safety, and compliance of the company's fleet of trucks and equipment Manage the acquisition and disposal of vehicles as needed Monitor driver performance, compliance, and safety, and implement corrective actions as necessary Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their unique transportation needs and provide solutions Ensure that client expectations are consistently met or exceeded Develop and manage the budget for the trucking division, controlling expenses, and optimising operations to achieve profitability targets Ensure that all trucking operations comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies Implement safety programs and practices to minimise accidents and incidents Utilise transportation management systems (TMS) and other technology solutions to streamline operations, track shipments, and provide real-time visibility to clients Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor and report on the performance of the trucking division Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency To succeed in this General Manager Trucking (Logistics) role, you must have the ability to lead effectively and possess a keen understanding of trucking operations. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus Proven experience in trucking and transportation management, with a minimum of eight years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of trucking regulations and safety standards Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team Proficiency in using transportation management software and tools Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Results-oriented with a focus on achieving operational and financial targets
