Senior Supply Chain Manager

Job Description : SENIOR SCM UAE an international organisation that specialises in the packaging and containers sector. Our client is actively searching for a Senior Supply Chain Manager who will manage company’s entire UAE processes. About the role The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. Additionally, this role will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors. The role will manage the ordering of all raw material and packaging, necessary for the production of finished goods. Simultaneously, the Supply Chain Manager will maintain contact with suppliers throughout the procurement process, at delivery, quality control, returns and vendor performance issues. This management role will design and implement the supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities or cost reductions strategies, whilst working closely with the Plant Director and Production Manager to ensure productivity targets are met. About you To be considered for this role, the candidate will be a senior procurement professional with a minimum of ten years’ experience, three of which should have been spent in a managerial or leadership role within an international environment with exposure to the Middle Eastern market. The incumbent will hold a relevant Degree from a recognized University and be industry qualified within procurement – MCIPS or equivalent. Thorough knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP are essential for this role.
