Contracts Manager

Job Description : Contract Manager Experience: 20+ years experience, preferably Africa & Gulf experience of the Large Building construction Company. Qualification: B.E Civil Job Location: Zimbabwe, Africa #Responsibilities : Form an integral part of the multi disciplinary leadership team for the Company responsible for overall profitability of all Projects and securing Company business interests. Identify key Commercial and Contractual Risks in the Main Contract & in Sub-contracts and arrange creation of mitigation plan in consultation with the Country & Project Heads . · Arrange creation and implementation of uniform Model Contract listing down the key Terms and Conditions which must be kept in all Commercial Contracts with Clients and Sub-contractors. · Ensure that Systems are in place to capture all Claims/Variations/EOTs, impact analysis, work-done and take it to fruitful conclusion. · Ensure all Country & Project Heads are trained on the Commercial , Contractual Risks and the Procedures as a part of risk mitigation · Indemnify the Projects from any liquidated damages which may occur due to non compliance of Contractual Obligations by timely monitoring and review of work progress · Ensure proper documentation of all matters which have commercial or contractual implications (including financial implications) and establish the processes for its timely capturing. · Advise the Management & lead the efforts to realize Company’s Claims from Clients through appropriate means of Negotiations, Relationships, Arbitration, etc. · Establish Systems & Processes to capture all variations, claims, EOTs and implement the same in all Projects. · Implement Commercial Strategies to maximize returns from the Project · Pre-empt / mitigate Commercial risks in Main Contract / Sub-contracts and protect Company interests. · Establish and build relationships with Clients and Consultants through periodic meetings to ensure claims and invoices are cleared expeditiously Assist the Country & Project Heads to frame up replies to the Client letters and those of Contractual nature
