Senior Purchase Manager

Job Description : SENIOR MANAGER PURCHASE KENYA FOR PHARMA Supply Chain Operations: Lead and manage the complete supply chain process, from procurement of CAPEX and OPEX items from India and export to East Africa Ensure seamless coordination of SCM team in East Africa and India Office Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance and implement corrective actions as needed. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute the overall supply chain strategy aligned with the company's business goals. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and enhanced operational efficiency within the supply chain. Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and quality procurement of materials and services. Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and minimize bottlenecks. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as and finance, Budget and Planning, Hospital Operations to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives. Coordinate closely with the logistics team to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation and distribution of products. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning. Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks, such as disruptions, delays, and quality issues, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Implement contingency plans to ensure business continuity during unforeseen events. Logistics Management: Oversee the logistics and supply chain aspects of procurement, ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods and services. Optimize inventory levels to meet demand and minimize carrying costs. Data Analytics and MIS reporting: Data Interpretation: Interpret data to provide actionable recommendations and insights to support business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decision-making. Automation and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvement in data collection, analysis, and reporting. Implement tools and processes to streamline data-related tasks. - Minimum10+ years of experience in pharma purchasing (formulation division) - Good communication and negotiation skills - Well versed with Formulation, Healthcare, Project purchase - Should have a valid passport - Must be able to join in 15-30 Days
