Planning Head

Job Description : PLANNING HEAD UK Open to worldwide candidates provided they match UK working visa criteria A global manufacturing business based in the Lancashire area are looking for a Head of Planning to join their team. As Head of Planning you will be responsible for the execution of the planning strategy and ensuring people, systems and processes are capable and agile to ensure the challenges of the businesses are met. About the role: Create and publish daily/weekly/monthly factory schedule adherence, capacity, and inventory report Take a lead on developing the S&OP plan with full responsibility for weekly meetings across production, commercial and supply chain teams Facilitates long term capacity assessment and development of countermeasure/action plans Serve as a factory subject matter expert for ERP production planning and scheduling modules as it relates to a single business unit Timely management of exception messages generated by the ERP system. Maintain data integrity of ERP planning parameters. Parameters such as lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, and order file data for all master scheduled items Identification and resolution of Constraints - Capacity, Resource & Material. Drives continuous process improvement, strives to improve efficiency, likely to challenge processes where favourable alternatives may be available About the person: Ideally degree qualified or overseas equivalent Excellent leadership skills and the ability to coach and develop people Deep and detailed planning knowledge and a proven track record of driving change in a positive manner Experience managing multiple projects and delivery within agreed timescales Experience working at both a strategic and tactical level SAP experience would be preferred Experience working with Customer focused
