Job Description : PROJECT HEAD NIGERIA FOR STEEL PLANT Qualification : BE Civil Experience : 25-30 Yrs Job Location : Abuja, Nigeria JD :- Developing&executing high level project execution&management strategies,making high- stakes decisions and overcoming complex business challenges usinge xperience-backed judgment,strong work ethics and irreproachable integrity. Planning&Scheduling:Master construction planning along-with monthly/ weekly schedule. Developing project basel ines and controlling espectt cost, resource deployment,time over-runs and quality compliance to ensure satisfactory execution. Resource Mobilization:Mobilization&demobilization of resource requiremen tlike Material,Staff,Labour,Machinery,Form-work,Contractors,Subcontractors,Vendors and Specialized agencies as per the Master Construction Schedule&priorities.Also,Estimation of timely additional resources requirement&mobilizationbyfollow-up from highe rmanagement. TeamBuilding:Identifyingandimplementingstrategiesforbuildingteameffectivenessbypromotingaspiritofcooperationbetweenteammembers. Tendering&Estimation;Contract&Commercialmanagement;FinalizationofTender-specifications/BOQandterms.Selection,AppointmentandManagementofConsultants,Contractors,VendorsandSpecializedagencies.Troubleshootingofallhighvaluecontractswhichinvolvesdisputeresolution,escalationonaccountofchangeinfuelrates,laborratesandnewitemsincivil,structural,mechanical&electricalcontracts.Ensuringeffectivefinalizationoflong-termcontractsforsupplyofcement,steel,lubricants,pipingmaterial,cables. Projectexecutionasperthestipulatednormswithintheestimatedcost,timeline&quality.Monitoringanticipatinganypossibledelaysandtakeadvanceactions.TomonitorandsupervisetheinstallationofMachinesintheunit. Frequentsitevisitstodifferentprojectsites;andcoordinationwithsiteteamondailybasistoleadsitesprogressasperbaseline&priorities. AdherencetoHSE(Health,Safety&Environment)statutesandnorms. Adherencetothequalityoftheprojectasperthestatutesandnorms. AdheringtoGovernmentandMunicipalrulesandnormsduringProjectexecution. Review&monitoringof: · Daily,weekly&monthlyprogressreportsasperthemasterconstructionschedule&priorities. · MISreportandothermanagementcostingreports. · Productivityandwastagemonitoringandcontrol · Costmonitoring,Review&ReportinghighlightingVarianceswithReasons.PeriodicreviewofCosttoCompleteasperactualandidentifypotentialareasofcostsaving. Reporting:Collaboratingwithstakeholderswhilekeepingtheminformedofprogressandissuesinordertomanageexpectationsonallrequirementsanddeliverables.
