Supply Chain Director

Job Description : SUPPLY CHAIN DIRECTOR VIETNAM ) OPEN TO EXPATS) Reporting to the General Director of the company and dotted line to VP of Global Supply Chain, the position will lead end to end supply chain function in the company of more than 60 staff under. The Supply Chain Director will lead and direct all facets of supply chain management including, but not limited to, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, material forecasting, capacity planning and sourcing, master scheduling, inventory control and financial costing, as necessary for all materials to support Vietnam factory production and shipping. The Supply Chain Director is responsible to ensure a cost-effective, fast, flexible and reliable supply chain by improving the integration, management and planning of all supply chain tasks. Create strategies for the optimised supply chain that promote effciencies and capacities's development of the function Lead the implementation of global supply chain strategy and initiative in country level Budget planning and control for the team Collaborate with the line manager, regional partners, and country's stake holders to develop supplier development strategies and provide guidance to supply chain teams on effective development techniques. Take the lead in coordinating and managing complex procurement processes, major contract negotiation Ensure that the flow of goods in the supply chain considers factors such as speed, cost, reliability, and takes advantage of favorable customs schemes. Support Global Supply Chain programs and initiatives to build up strong and effective supply chain network in term of resiliency, readiness and cost effective Review supply chain team structure to ensure effectiveness and cost-efficiency Lead, Coach and develop people and improving staff's competencies Participate in product planning processes to ensure timely acquisition of materials for product launches and allocate sufficient resources for successful growth Ensure that supply chain policies are appropriate, compliant, well-documented, disseminated, and monitored effectively Direct the activities of purchasing, planning, warehousing, and materials control functions, from forecasting replenishment needs to delivering finished products and managing finished goods inventory Manage inventory, reduce excess and obsolete materials, and establish controls to minimise supply chain risk and achieve optimal performance based on key metrics Establish annual goals and objectives in line with corporate objectives and manage performance to achieve them. Perform any other duties as assigned 10-15 years progressive experience in purchasing and materials management roles with a minimum of five years as a Supply Chain manager or Director or equivalent experience Experienced in Electronics/ Electrics industry and fast paced working environment Strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution Broad knowledge and experience in supply chain strategies, market analysis techniques, procurement and contracting and inventory management Collaborative, influencing, familiar in working in multicultural and diversified working environment Excellent leadership with ability to training and coaching Excellent ERP/MRP knowledge. Excellent analytical and negotiation skills are required Fluent English
