Financial Controller

Job Description : FC STEEL DUBAI a well-reputed conglomerate existing in the region for more than 2 decades, a leading steel manufacturer is seeking to hire a Financial Controller to be based in Dubai. Business Growth Oriented: · Financial Agility · Strategic Investments · Data-Driven Decision-Making · · Cost Optimization and Efficiency · Talent Development and Retention Financial Planning & Analysis: · Develop and manage the annual budgeting process. · Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance. · Collaborate with department heads to align financial plans with operational goals. Cost Management: · Oversee and analyze manufacturing costs to identify areas for improvement. · Implement cost control measures to optimize operational expenses. · Monitor inventory costs and ensure accurate valuation. Financial Reporting: · Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with accounting principles. · · Generate and analyze financial reports for management review. · Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Cash Flow Management: · Manage and forecast cash flows to ensure liquidity and financial stability. · Optimize working capital and monitor cash conversion cycles. · Implement cash management strategies to maximize returns on surplus funds. Risk Management: · Identify and assess financial risks affecting the manufacturing processes. · Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. · Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the business. Internal Controls: · Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets. · Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. · Recommend and implement improvements to internal control systems. Capital Expenditure: · Evaluate the capital expenditure projects. · Conduct financial analysis to support investment decisions. · Monitor the performance of capital investments and report on ROI. FINANCIAL COMPLIANCE · Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards with relevant Country’s legal structure. · Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits. · Implement and maintain a robust system for financial compliance. Financial System & Technology: · Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems. · Leverage technology to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities. · Stay current on advancements in financial software and tools. Strategic Financial Planning: · Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. · Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. · Participate in strategic planning sessions to contribute financial expertise. Team Leadership & Development: · Lead and develop a high-performing finance team. · Provide coaching and mentorship to team members. · Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Supplier & Vendor Development: · Collaborate with procurement to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers. · Evaluate vendor performance and implement strategies to optimize vendor relationships. · Ensure timely payments and adherence to contractual agreements. Education And Experience: · CA & CWA will be an added advantage. · Minimum 10 years’ experience with minimum 5 years in a similar position. · Should have worked in a similar capacity for min 5 years in Steel Manufacturing industry. · Experience in working on multiple legal entities under the Group.
