Country Director

Job Description : COUNTRY DIRECTOR MADIRID SPAIN Open to candidates worldwide who can obtain EU work permit IPP multinational leader in the PV market, expert in the development, construction and operation of solar projects, seeks to incorporate a COUNTRY DIRECTOR focused on Business Development in Spain. This person will be the cornerstone to create the team at the national level and achieve the goals set in terms of growth for the coming years. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for Business Development and Operations in Spain. - Be the main representative of the company and responsible for the development of the team at the national level. - Establish performance objectives and goals for the team, guaranteeing their execution. - Develop relationships with incentive and government agencies, regulators, utilities, customers, suppliers and financial institutions. FUNCTIONS: • Business development: - Lead business development for Green Field projects, including the identification and search for new projects, partnerships and collaborations within the sector. - Represent the company in negotiations, meetings and events to promote business development. - Supervise and approve the EIA, as well as application processes necessary to carry out the construction and operation ofPV plants. - Coordinating the team: o Identify and analyze interesting sites and buildings to develop a portfolio of projects. o Develop projects from their origin to RTB. o Supervise the preparation of projects for submission to tenders and PPAs. • EPC / O&M: - Daily supervision of development, finance, construction and O&M operations in Spain. - Contact with EPC teams to identify efficient and quality subcontractors. - Analyze and control performance indices, financial reports and market trends to carry out improvement plans. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize internal processes. REQUIREMENTS: - Training in Renewable Energy andexperience in the PV sector. - Very high level of English and Spanish. - More than 20 years of experience in leadership positions within the renewable energy sector, - Expert in the renewable energy market in Spain at the level of policies, regulations, mechanisms and main actors. - Experience in the development and execution of business strategies. - Excellent communication skills, as well as great analytical and problem-solving skills. - Familiar with decision making in complex business environments.
