Job Description : CFO CANADA 20+ years experience Open to overseas candidates Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | Bilingual | Manufacturing and Logistics | Montréal, QC a fast-growing SME with their main business being the trading, importing and exporting or raw metal materials. With over 20 years of experience in the field, and various facilities throughout the Americas, their business is growing into new markets and as such requiring new talent. Responsible for all finance, accounting, and treasury functions Leads corporate financial strategy and planning to support financial excellence Prepare budgets and their expected schedules to justify funds used in addition to monitoring budgeted projects and reporting any explanations for variances Identifies and recommends opportunities for improved profitability. Challenges business and financial assumptions to ensure reliability and effective management Prepare and presents management with regular financial reports and presentations to interpret and project financial performance Provides trend-analysis and insight to anticipate future results. Responsible for key procurement contracts auditing Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations Represent the organization in important external business relationships with investors, clients, suppliers, and government. Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry, including ensuring that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements Ensure that financial documentation meets the requirements of auditors, government and external entities Bachelor’s degree in business or related field 10 or more years of experience in a senior financial or accounting role Work experience in a growing multinational, with Canadian, US and international subsidiaries (an asset) Experience in Contracts, Negotiations and Change Management Knowledge of taxation and regulation - how tax issues affect structure and operations Ability to establish and maintain lasting relationships with other government departments, key business partners and government agencies.
