Chief Accountant

Job Description : CHIEF ACCOUNTANT MATADI, DRC an established food manufacturing company based in the Democratic Republic of Congo. They are currently operating a $200M USD food manufacturing operation and have plans to expand their productions further. They are currently seeking a highly skilled Chief Accountant to join their team and contribute to our continued success. Reporting to the Finance Director & CFO, you will be required to carry out the following duties: Manage and lead the accounting department. Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Ensure compliance with all accounting and tax regulations in the DRC . Oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and management reports. Participate in the development of financial strategies and decision-making. Coordinate internal and external audits. Provide financial advice and analysis to senior management. The Successful Applicant You bring 12 years of working experience as a Chief Accountant within an International or manufacturing sector Must have an in-depth knowledge of local and international accounting standards Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred Pursuing a professional accounting qualification such as CPA/ ACCA or similar within Africa is an asset In-dept knowledge of manufacturing accounting, cost accounting is preferred Excellent fluency in English & French is mandatory Must be willing to relocate to Matadi , DRC
