Job Description : PHARMA PROCUREMENT HEAD SOUTH AFRICA one of the pharmaceutical industry's global trailblazers, with a steadfast presence in over 50+ countries. Job Location: South Africa Job Profile : - Develop and implement strategies for procurement to ensure the most cost-effective & timely delivery of the right material aligned to the overall business objective - Institutionalize a framework for procurement of material and ensure effective inventory management for the organization - Develop and implement inbound & outbound logistics management procedures to achieve 100% on time in full (OTIF) - Establishing best-in-class global sourcing strategies for APIs & Excipients, RLD, Packaging. - Developing a framework of quality standards, procedures & systems and overseeing smooth implementation of same at supplier's end for company - Achieving stringent cost reduction targets & implement and continuous improvement initiatives for sustainability - De-Risking & Business Continuity plans - Build & nurture strategic relations with key vendors in the USA to ensure preferential treatment to Cipla in terms of technical assistance, pricing & delivery of materials - Guide category leads in implementing procurement & negotiation strategies based on nature of product, criticality, spend & market dynamics - Build a highly motivated & result oriented team to meet goals & objectives as outlined by global procurement head - Keep abreast of better alternatives & recommend to IPD, Manufacturing, BD team to enhance organisation value delivery to consumers - Build robust relationships with internal stake holders i.e. QC, CQA, IPD, Finance, legal, CPM etc. to ensure compliant status of vendors - Support procurement initiatives & implement productivity measures Candidate Profile : - A strong educational foundation, culminating in an MBA with a focus on operations or supply chain. - A profound journey of 10-15 years in the procurement domain, with a particular emphasis on direct sourcing. - Exceptional leadership prowess to galvanize and cultivate high-performing teams. - Masterful communication skills to adeptly steer stakeholder engagement.
