Costing Director

Job Description : Director of Costing - Food Manufacturing Based: Los Angeles, CA USA $140,000 - $180,000 + benefits Open to overseas qualified candidates rapidly growing fast-paced food manufacturer on a new Director of Costing opening. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of cost accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate product costing, whilst leading a team of cost accountants. Responsibilities Develop and implement cost accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate product costing Oversee the preparation of cost estimates for new products and analyze cost variances Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights of cost analysis Monitor and report on key cost metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for manufacturing costs, providing financial insights to support decision-making Conduct regular reviews of inventory valuation and reconcile discrepancies Evaluate and optimize the allocation of overhead costs to ensure proper cost deduction Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making Lead and mentor a team of cost accountants, fostering professional development and efficiency Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Certified Public Accountat or Certified Management Accountant is a plus High level of experience in cost accounting, within the food manufacturing industry, preferred Experienced with ERP Systems on a proficient level
