Job Description : OPERATIONS MANAGER MEXICO Open to candidates worldwide Must be Spanish speakers A major multinational company specializing in engineering and automation is in search of its new Operations Manager, located in Merida, Yucatan. The ideal candidate should have experience in automation and electrification projects, advanced knowledge of SAP, and proficiency in Project Scheduling Tools. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects related to the operations of a local unit (or units), including the full scope of operations (Project Management & Control, Project Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Logistics, Planning & Fulfillment) or a portion of these. Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and integrity policies and required standards within the operations. Main Responsibilities of the Operations Manager: Strategy • Responsible for developing business action plans for the unit(s) aligned with the Commercial Area/Division/Product Group strategy and objectives. • Monitors implementation and tracks any deviations for corrective action. Budget • Prepares the annual budget, oversees progress, and determines actions in response to cost issues as necessary to manage operations within the budget and resources. Operations Improvements • Develops programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations. • Ensures that the organization takes an overall value chain perspective to meet customer expectations on quality, service levels, and lead time and has a full understanding and culture of continuous improvement behaviors, methodology, and processes. HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) • Maintains compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while monitoring and reporting progress and results. • Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety. Customer Relations • Provides support to the sales staff to improve understanding of customer requirements to identify potential constraints and solutions from an operational point of view. Leadership and Personnel Development Requirements: • Graduated in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, among others). • +12 years of experience in automation and electrification projects.
