Job Description : Responsible Sourcing & Procurement Synergy Director Location: Global, with flexible options including Thailand, Netherlands, Hungary, Singapore, and China General Position Information Functional Discipline: Supply Chain Excellence Reporting to: Head of Global Supply Chain Operations Purporse: In this newly crafted role within our client's supply chain organization, you'll become the driving force behind transformative change. As the Responsible Sourcing & Procurement Synergy Director, you'll report to the Head of Global Supply Chain, and your mission is clear: unleash our environmental and social ambitions across our global supply chain while pioneering a Procurement Synergy portfolio across all of our client's business units. Your role is a dynamic blend of strategy, hands-on action, and organizational development designed for sustainable results. Collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning SCM, Procurement, Sustainability, R&D, Marketing, Engineering, Production, and Finance. Key Responsibilities - Forge Sustainability Strategies: Craft and lead Supply Chain’s Sustainability Strategy, integrating Responsible Sourcing and Human Rights into procurement category strategies. Calculate the carbon reduction impact per category and corresponding activities. - Responsible Sourcing Frameworks: Create responsible sourcing policies and frameworks to align our client's sustainability strategy with Procurement categories, ensuring full implementation and training. Stay ahead of regulatory requirements. - Supplier Management: Oversee supplier performance and risk management, establishing best practices, tools, 3rd party audits, and assessments. Lead supplier engagement in sustainability initiatives. - Performance Monitoring: Develop, monitor, and report performance using comprehensive dashboards for internal leadership and external stakeholders. - Sustainability Leadership: Represent Supply Chain in our client's sustainability committee and collaborate closely with Sustainability teams to influence and support sustainability efforts in areas like Water, Climate, and Circular Economy. - Procurement Synergy: Lead the development of Procurement Synergy portfolios within Vision Care and with other businesses, focusing on whitespace spend. Develop sourcing strategies and project manage key initiatives. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish and lead cross-functional global teams for synergy initiatives, working closely with R&D, Operations, and Finance to ensure successful execution of business plans. - Organizational Design: Initiate the design and structure of Responsible Sourcing and Whitespace spend, enabling the realization of our ambitions, leveraging our scale, and creating lasting value. Candidate Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s/University degree or higher. - Experience/Skills: Minimum 10 years of Procurement experience, preferably in a multinational environment. At least 3 years in Strategic Sourcing, with expertise in ESG initiatives and programs. Knowledge in the optical industry is a plus. - Stakeholder Management: Proven experience in effective stakeholder management, working closely with category procurement leaders. - Behavioral Attributes: Demonstrated strategic thinking, results-driven, detail-oriented, fast learner, confident communicator, and positive attitude. High empathy and ethical values aligned with our client's principles.
