Job Description : CFO NIGERIA Preparation & review of Quarterly Budget/ Forecasts/Tax Financials/ Profit and loss Responsible for managing commercial activities and taxation within the organization Coordinating and overseeing internal audits, conducting regular reviews of internal checks and controls, and standardizing processes across various verticals within the organization. • Developing and reviewing the budget for the upcoming quarter, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets. This involves analysing financial data, forecasting revenues and expenses, and identifying areas for cost optimization or revenue growth. • Generating and analysing forecasts for the upcoming quarter, considering market trends, historical performance, and other relevant factors. • Managing and reviewing the organization's tax-related financial documents. Preparing and analysing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and optimizing tax strategies to minimize liabilities while maximizing benefits. • Conducting a thorough review and analysis of the organization's P&L statement. This involves examining revenues, costs, and expenses to assess the financial performance, identify areas of improvement, and provide insights for strategic decision-making. Working closely with centralized tax department to ensure compliance with tax regulations, manage tax planning strategies, and facilitate efficient tax processes. • Collaborating with centralized treasury to oversee cash management, liquidity planning, and optimize financial resources across the organization. • Engaging in strategic discussions and negotiations with financial institutions or lenders to secure long-term financing for project initiatives. • Conducting regular reviews and reconciliations of bank statements and financial records to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and maintain financial integrity. Skills, Qualifications and Experience Key Selection Criterias Mandatory Desired Experience, in years 15-20 Years in Commercial Activities in Manufacturing Steel/ Mining Sector experience Academic Degree Chartered Accountant CA+CFA Core Functional Area 1, with number of years of experience Proven Experience of 15 yrs in Preparation & review of Quarterly Budget/ Forecasts/Tax Financials/ Profit and loss. Experience in Steel/ Mining Sector. Core Functional Area 2, with number of years of experience Minimum 15yrs in managing commercial activities and taxation within the organization, Exposure of Taxation in (Steel/ Mining Sector) Core Functional Area 3, with number of years of experience Internal Audit & System Compliance, 15+ Exp in Internal Audit & Checks and controls in African countries • Managing and reconciling financial transactions between different entities within the organization to ensure accurate recording and reporting of intercompany activities. • Overseeing stock and inventory processes, including monitoring levels, tracking movement, and implementing effective inventory control measures to optimize supply chain management and minimize costs. Preferred candidate profile Chartered Accountant with 18 to 22 yrs experience in manufacturing industries at Group Level. Age:- 40-50 yrs
