IT Head

Job Description : T HEAD NIGERIA Lead the group's IT strategy, drive digital transformation initiatives, and foster innovation across the group leveraging technology and data to optimize manufacturing processes and continuously improving operational efficiency across group & its subsidiaries. Responsible for overseeing the development, facilitation and implementation of strategies, policies and frameworks that ensures that the Information Technology department effectively supports the business in the realisation of overall corporate objectives and goals. Responsiblities: IT Strategy and Digital Transformation Oversee and champion the development of the IT department’s strategy in alignment with the Group’s corporate strategy, overall business goals and objectives. Lead the digital transformation efforts across the group by identifying opportunities to integrate digital technologies into all manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and other operational areas. Develop and execute strategies to enhance productivity, streamline operations, and drive innovation through the adoption of emerging technologies. Champion innovative technology strategies that amplify business growth and drive operational efficiency. Facilitate change management efforts by ensuring that technology-led transformation is embraced throughout the organization. Provide support for digital initiatives and actively collaborating with all stakeholders. Orchestrate change management efforts, ensuring technology-led transformation is embraced across the organization. By engaging stakeholders, foster ownership, and support for digital initiatives. Set metrics sub function of IT and translate IT strategy into broad operational work programs for the IT departmental plan. Negotiate group wide service agreements for technology deployment. IT Governance & Cybersecurity Develop the Group’s IT policies and ensure compliance by all subsidiaries to which are critical to the integrity, security and performance of the Group’s technical infrastructure. Oversee the effective management of the Group’s IT assets and ensure provision of adequate IT infrastructure to end users. Establish and enforce robust cybersecurity measures, safeguarding digital assets and data. Provide guidance to IT subsidiary Leads in the handling of subsidiary IT functions and oversee subsidiary IT performance. Business Support and Demand management Identify and recommend new technologies based on changes to business environment and technology trends that could potentially impact the type, level or utilization of services provided by IT service providers. Oversee the due diligence during vendor selection process for new software and tools; leading the team in the procedures for negotiation, pricing and vendor contracts management. Liaise with the functional stakeholders to prioritize and optimize IT investments. Identify and manage relationships with service providers and ensure consistent adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Ensure that service reports are produced for each service and that breaches of SLA targets are highlighted, investigated and actions taken to prevent their recurrence. Ensure that service performance reviews are scheduled, conducted with BUs regularly and documented, with agree actions progressed. Continuously review and identify technology needs and ensure that the appropriate cost effective software solutions are developed and or deployed. Lead the delivery of applications that drive operational excellence, ensuring seamless integration across the group and its subsidiaries. Develop and enforce robust information security measures to protect digital assets and data of the group. Implement best practices for IT service management, set guidelines for ITIL frameworks, and for incident response. Skills: Proficiency in managing a diverse portfolio of technology projects. Ability to develop a vision and inspire others to achieve shared goals. Identify emerging trends and opportunities, translating them into actionable plans. Track record of delivering on technology initiatives and objectives Communication technology. Influence and motivate others to achieve outstanding results Integrity and clear communications and interpersonal relations Ability to seek out and adopt innovative approaches to technology. Qualifications: 1st degree in Computer Science and Information Technology, Software, Engineering, or relevant field. 15 years relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in an IT leadership position in a FMCG or manufacturing industry. Experience leading enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, optimizing processes, and enhancing customer(user) experiences. Experience leveraging emerging technologies to drive innovation and produce business enabling solutions. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructures; governance frameworks; compliance; and risk management. Proficiency in managing a diverse portfolio of technology projects and alignment with strategic goals. Track record of guiding cross-functional teams in implementing innovative technology solutions. Strong Business acumen.
