Export Manager 

Job Description : Export Manager - Confectionery Experience: 10 years or more Location: Zambia Industry Segment Experience: Confectionery (Gums, Pops, Candies, Liquorice, Chocolates) Primary Responsibilities: Sales and Marketing: - Develop and execute comprehensive export sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the confectionery segment. - Manage and expand existing client relationships while actively seeking and cultivating new business opportunities. - Utilize general sales and marketing principles to promote confectionery products effectively in international markets. Product Range Expertise: - Demonstrate a strong understanding of hard-boiled confectionery products, including technical specifications, market trends, and consumer preferences. - Drive sales for Gums, Pops, Candies, and Liquorice products, ensuring a well-rounded representation of the company's confectionery portfolio. New Product Development (NPD): - Collaborate with the product development team to provide technical input and insights for the creation of new confectionery products. - Stay updated on industry innovations and emerging trends to contribute to the development of a competitive product portfolio. Market Research: - Conduct market research to identify potential markets, consumer preferences, and competitor activities. - Analyze market trends and provide feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement and adaptation to market changes. Customer Relationship Management: - Build and maintain strong relationships with international distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders. - Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Logistics and Compliance: - Oversee the export logistics process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of confectionery products to international markets. - Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and manage documentation related to export activities. Reporting and Analysis: - Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and other relevant key performance indicators. - Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize sales and marketing strategies. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. - Proven experience of 5 years or more in a similar export management role within the confectionery industry. - In-depth knowledge of hard-boiled confectionery products and the ability to translate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. - Strong understanding of international sales, marketing, and export regulations. Skills : - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. - Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools. - Strong organizational and time-management skills.
