Job Description : SHIPPING DIRECTOR ANGOLA 20+ years experience Not beyond 50yr is accepted Present CTC - 70L and above only - Developed in Supply Chain . - Has been with more of International transport of Goods. - Started from Lower Functions of Supply Chain and turned into top 2 position of this function. Deals with BOD/Promoter/Owner of Organisation. - To effectively manage entire shipping operations of the Processed Food Business. Ensuring the reefer container availability as per the business requirement. 1) Managing the end to end Shipping operations for the processed food business. 2) Internal liasoning with Marketing / Demand & Supply Planning / Banking / Accounts, Logistics department, Plant GMs, and vendors on case to case basis 3) External liasioning and co-ordination with Customs, Railways, Shipping Lines, CHAs, and with Ports 4) Monitoring tools to reduce dwell time of containers. 5) Freight Management, contract management, credit management with the Liners and Forwarders for multimodal shipping requirements including chartering. 6) Knowledge of GST, Excise, Customs Rule, Act & Tariff and all the procedures under respective Law. 7) Negotiation with shipping lines / agents for best freight. 8) Planning of export activities & coordination with manufacturing Plants / CHA/ Shipping co/ for timely delivery. 9) Supervise & lead the negotiations of contracts, freight & CFA charges, Railway liaison and Claim settlements, Depot Audits. 10) Observation on Govt. updates & notification related to the function 11) Active participation in Tendering & auctions. Negotiations & oversee operations with the Shipping Lines 12) Execute / Contracts / rent agreements for various CFA and warehouses Compliance as per channel policy 13) Drive new initiatives towards digitization, process improvements and cost optimization 14) Extensive focus on due diligence and solutions 15) Functions KPI & KRA performance evaluation 16) Functions MIS and Analytics towards Cost Optimization Experience Requirement : This role requires a strong experience in overall Shipping operations including liaising. Experience required in handling Freight Forwarders, Clearing & Forwarding Agents, Shipping liners.
