Plant Manager

Job Description : PLANT MANAGER NAMIBIA Plant Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of a Manufacturing Plant, including Environment Health and Safety, Production Planning, Logistics, Product Quality, Improving Technical and Economic performances continuously, seeing to the best possible conditions for the environment and safety; and developing the required qualification and skills of its staff. He/she will manage all plant activities by complying with the environment, health and safety regulations, and quality certifications. Ensure all health and safety functions required by local and company regulations, including all applicable mandatory Safety protocols, risk assessment programs, occupational hygiene programs, and any other programs necessary to ensure adequate health and safety management for the site. Lead, train, mentor, motivate and discipline the site team to improve the skills and competencies and drive employee engagement. Manage the complete scope of activities linked to production and interact permanently with maintenance, quality, process/project, and supply chain. Maximize and guarantee the stability of product quality and throughput of the plant. Fully understand and continuously improve the production processes by applying Lean Manufacturing methods and Industrial Continuous Improvement systems. Lead and roll out continuous improvement processes/methodologies to develop production line performance. Define significant investment opportunities to improve yield and efficiency. Develop and utilize KPIs for decision-making. Responsible for all required reporting on his/her perimeter. Set and monitor budgets and expenses annually and ensure that costs are controlled. Requirements: Qualification and Skill Good knowledge of all operations aspects (Safety, Production, Quality, Process, Capex…) acquired during a first hands-on experience (10+ years) within a manufacturing / industrial / mining environment. Preferable an Industrial engineer with sufficient plant operational experience Engineering degree: MSc / BEng in industrial, mechanical, process, or material sciences.
