Job Description : PRODUCTION HEAD KENYA FOR FROZEN VEGETABLES This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the entire processing facility. This position involves overseeing various aspects of the plant's operations to guarantee the production of high-quality frozen vegetables in a timely and cost-effective manner. Job Responsibilities : 1. Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production goals and quality standards. Collaborate with other department heads to align operations with overall business objectives. Create and manage production schedules to optimize resource utilization. 2. Production Management: Oversee the entire production process, from receiving raw vegetable/fruits to cutting and packaging and cold storage management Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production cycle. Implement efficient manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and reduce costs. 3. Quality Control: Establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes to meet industry standards and customer expectations. Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in quality and efficiency. Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent their recurrence. 4. Supply Chain Management: Work closely with procurement teams to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply of raw materials. Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Optimize logistics and distribution processes to meet customer demand efficiently. 5. Equipment and Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the facility. 6. Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, and supervise a skilled operations team. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide leadership and guidance to ensure team members meet performance goals. 7. Cost Management: Monitor and control operational expenses to meet budgetary constraints. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization. Implement measures to improve overall operational efficiency and reduce waste. 8. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to food processing and safety. Stay updated on industry regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance. 9. Continuous Improvement: Implement and champion continuous improvement initiatives. Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive operational excellence. Encourage a culture of innovation and efficiency within the operations team. 10. Communication: Effectively communicate with other departments, senior management, and stakeholders. Report on key performance metrics and operational achievements. Production experience of 10+ years in Frozen Vegetables /Fruits Should have complete understanding of production lines from Raw vegetable/Fruit to washing, cutting, packing and refrigeration Complete Quality checks and high quality standards throughout production cycle Good command of English language (oral and written) Proactive and team Player with exceptional leadership skills Net Savings $2500 - $3000 + Accommodation + Food + Transport + All Expat Benefits
