General Manager

Job Description : GM QUALITY FOR GARMENT EXPORT HOUSE KENYA Position Overview: The position will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all the products meet or exceed the highest industry standards. This role requires a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of garment manufacturing processes, quality control, and compliance. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team of quality assurance professionals, working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance our quality management systems. Responsibilities: Quality Management: · Develop and implement robust quality management systems to ensure the highest standards of product quality. · Establish and enforce quality control procedures throughout the entire garment manufacturing process. Team Leadership: · Lead, mentor, and motivate the quality assurance team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. · Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team's skills and awareness of quality standards. Process Improvement: · Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in collaboration with production, design, and supply chain teams. · Implement best practices to optimize quality control processes. Supplier Collaboration: · Work closely with suppliers to set and maintain quality standards for raw materials and finished products. · Conduct regular audits of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with quality requirements. Compliance: · Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards to ensure full compliance in all aspects of quality control. · Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address and rectify any non-compliance issues. Customer Satisfaction: · Monitor customer feedback and quality performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. · Proactively address and resolve any quality-related concerns raised by customers. Preferred candidate profile · Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising · 12+ years of experience in a similar role within the garment export house · In-depth knowledge of quality control processes, standards, and regulations. · Strong leadership and team management skills. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. · Familiarity with international quality standards and certifications.
