Job Description : TELCO PRODUCT HEAD SYDNEY AUSTRALIA AUSD 200K -240K Role is open to candidates worldwide Build a new generation telecommunications company Build new generation Telco products "Accelerate internet in emerging markets" "Improve connectivity" "Make internet affordable" Additional Information: Travel required to Philippines every 1-2 months All expenses covered Chief Product Officer / Head of Product / Product Advisor, is responsible for providing strategic guidance and oversight for multiple products and the overall product direction. This role will involve collaborating with various business divisions and stakeholders to ensure successful product conceptualisation, development, and launch. Additionally, Head of Product / Product Advisor focuses on driving profitable growth, optimising resources, and building a high-performing product organisation. Product Strategy: Develop and shape product strategies for various business divisions, including target market identification, customer segmentation, value proposition creation, and product development road-maps. Product Leadership: Provide hands-on leadership and strategic direction to the product team, ensuring product excellence and successful implementation. Resource Management: Control and manage resources efficiently within the product team, including budget allocation, profit and loss (P&L) analysis, demand planning, and hiring decisions. Pricing Strategy: Define and oversee product pricing strategies, making high-level business cases and recommendations to the leadership team. Product Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate product metrics, such as revenue, customer engagement, churn rate, and retention, and continuously improve product performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with different functions within the organisation to ensure alignment, support, and effective delivery of product-related activities. Industry Awareness: Stay informed about the latest developments within the industry to identify potential opportunities and challenges. Risk Management: Establish and drive strategies for addressing and managing risks arising from business operations and changes. Portfolio Governance: Implement effective portfolio governance arrangements, supported by thorough reporting. Product Development Models: Champion the importance and value of product management principles and advocate for appropriate product development models, whether predictive (plan-driven) or iterative/agile approaches. Strategic Decision-Making: Drive product-related decisions and gain buy-in from the leadership team, particularly those with measurable impacts on business profitability and effectiveness. Qualifications Extensive years of experience in the telecommunications industry and its products, preferably in a Head of Product or Senior Product Manager level Proven track record in successful multi-product management and development work, especially in data or internet products Advanced knowledge in creating high-level customer solutions based on requirements Expert in interfacing with stakeholders (customers, partners) for both commercial and technical discussions Ability to successfully navigate matrixed organisations and influence various internal teams (technical, commercial, other support groups) to push initiatives forward
