Operations Manager 

Job Description : PLANT OPERATIONS MANAGER KENYA Direct, drive and champion a zero-incident culture, ensuring that all employees have a safe work environment and engage in safe working habits, complying with regulatory requirements and company polices and behaviors. Responsibility for overall site operations, driving the company policy to deliver business strategy and plant objectives by setting production performance standards and aligning the organization, to achieve those standards. Lead the company lean framework in the Plant, fully supporting the Managing Daily Improvement (MDI) system, and all its components. Exhibit leadership, take ownership and be a role model for company values and MDI discipline. Develop a diverse high performing operational team, capable of achieving business improvement objectives and fostering a positive culture of accountability, action and continuous improvement, where safety is paramount. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, reduce costs, enhance margin, and deliver overall performance improvement. Rigorous focus on improving Safety, Quality, Cost & Delivery (SQCD) performance metrics, and sharing best practice across the organization. Build people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for both management and front-line hourly personnel. Responsibility for managing cost by effective approval expenditures, overtime and effective budget monitoring and monthly variance reporting. Develop and implement cost saving initiatives to improve operational performance within the plant. Exhibit leadership and drive best practice work habits to improve productivity. Personally conduct process confirmations to support an improving and productive work environment. Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization; working closely with labour unions and works councils to meet overall company goals. Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years' experience in Operations/Lean Management, preferably with a printing focus, and with Cost Centre / P&L responsibility at the plant level, necessary. Experience in being the lead change agent in complex transformational activities. Significant experience in implementation of complex Lean principals as they apply to manufacturing operations. Proven success designing, implementing, communicating, and meeting KPI goals, including reducing supply chain costs, improving through-put, shortening cycle time, and improving inventory turns.
