Job Description : VP – Engineering & Strategic Procurement - Renewable Energy Projects PHILIPPINES Leading Philippine Power Generation IPP Focus on Renewable Energy Projects – Solar + BESS – GW+ Capacity Key Selection Criteria – Exp. In Engineering PV Plants >350MW Capacity Key Project Leadership Opportunity reporting to Project Director Seeking Experienced Expatriate Candidates Metro Manila, Philippines one of the leading and well-regarded Philippine Power Generation IPP’s with a history of successful Power Plant Developments within the Philippines. With the projected growth in both electricity demand within the Philippines and the urgency to broaden their Generation Capability to encompass Renewable Energy Technologies, they seek an experienced Senior Engineering/Project Executive with specific experience in the Engineering and Strategic Procurement Management of Renewable Energy Power Plants (Solar, Wind, BESS etc.). Reporting to the Project Director (Renewable Projects), the role’s prime objectives are to work within the Senior Executive Team to move the project from the Concept Phase to an Executable EPC Contract with specific focus on the Engineering and Procurement aspects of the Project including - Plant/Equipment Design, Specification and Procurement and the establishment of Contracts for Project Execution and Delivery with handover to the O&M & Commercial teams. Ideally candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering with an MBA or other Post Gradate Qualifications being well regarded. We seek at least 15 years’ experience in Renewable Energy Projects (Solar, Wind, BESS), along with 7 years in Senior Engineering Management roles within the RE field. This experience must also include management of RE Engineering – Plant/Equipment Design and Specification development and their Procurement and the establishment of EPC Contract/s for execution & delivery. Key Selection Criteria – YOU MUST HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE TO QUALIFY FOR SHORTLISTING: Specific experience in the Engineering/Design Management of INDIVIDUAL Solar PV PLANTS WITH A minimum 350mw CAPACITY, developing detailed Plant and Equipment Specifications to meet the Technical and Performance Standards required of the Project. You must have experience in developing solutions for the HV/MV Interface issues found on these Large Scale Solar Power Plants (Note: this is NOT GRID Related!). You must have experience in developing solutions for the Electrical/Power Losses found on these Large Scale Solar Power Plants. You must have experience in the Construction of Solar PV Plants on Complex Terrain (Slopes, waterways etc.) Must have experience in working in a Strategic/Technical Advisory role with Procurement Teams supporting the sourcing of Vendor and EPC Service provider solutions meeting the Technical and Performance Standards that you developed as the Engineering/Design Manager.
