Civil Engineer

Job Description : Civil Engineering · Location : Uzbekistan Reporting : This position shall be reporting to Product Head/ Project Manager Job function : Thermal Energy Role: As a Civil Engineer, you will be working under the Project Manager for a gas-based combined cycle power plant project having in-plant 500 kV & 220 kV switchyard. Prime responsibility will include review of EPC design along with Construction supervision of site erection & commissioning activities and coordination with Client & other project stakeholders. Requirements: · Must have good knowledge of layout of simple cycle and combined cycle power plant including its systems, power island items and BOP systems. · Must be able to provide lead role in Owners Engineering (Review of Design Documents of EPC Contractor and vendors) along with supervising contractors works at site including field engineering. · Interdisciplinary coordination and experience in resolving technical issues at site. · Experience of Project progress monitoring against plan in addition to assistance in project planning and scheduling. · Good knowledge in Geotechnical including thorough understanding of soil and ability to review survey reports. · Good knowledge and understanding of Civil foundations including piling, architectural, steel & concrete superstructures/buildings/pipe racks/sleepers, roads & drainage, static and dynamic analysis, connections, bar bending schedule, fabrication drawings, prefabricated structures etc. are mandatory. · Working experience in STAAD Pro, SAP 2000 is preferable. · Knowledge of all relevant international standards and guidelines i.e. American Standards, European Standards, British Standards, GOST, KMK / Uzbek Local Codes etc. · Ensure adherence to project safety plan · Experience in certifying of As Built drawing. · Experience in training and technology transfer. · Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, power point presentation Creating documents, writing weekly & monthly reports according to engineering as well as project construction development. · Time management and professionalism. Experience: At least 15 years of professional experience. Minimum working experience in Two (2) nos. similar nature of projects in similar positions is last ten (10) years is essential. Other Requirements & Expectations: · Strong interpersonal skills · Self-disciplined and demonstrated capability to work as a lead team member · Multidisciplinary coordination skills. · Good organizing skills with Client and various stakeholders. Required Qualification • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering as a minimum. Degree Certificate from well recognised institution is essential. · Special Attributes · Good written & verbal communication skills.
