Operations Director 

Job Description : OPERATIONS DIRECTOR MALAYSIA ( OPEN TO EXPATS) In this position, you will be responsible to lead plant expansion and efficiency projects and manage overall daily plant operations including production, product quality, logistics and maintenance while ensuring compliance with company and corporate policies and safety regulations. Ensuring the achievement of site goals and objectives through the implementation of manufacturing plans Providing leadership to project control timetable that describes all major strategic plans through its initiatives that will yield to milestones and breakthroughs Leading overall planning and execution of site's operational performance Providing overall direction, control and management of the site, focusing on key performance indicators Establishing site annual operating plan, budget, financial reporting, and forecasting to achieve sustainable profitability Providing leadership to the completion of new product transfers, qualifications and mass production Driving the development of new products being transferred and accelerates growth in the organisation Monitoring and analysing the statistical process data in order to identify trends and possibilities of improvement Developing and managing the plans and strategies to achieve the organisational and financial objectives of the company Promoting and instilling strong collaboration culture of various functions including the R&D, Strategic Procurement and Product Management base for common innovation Implementing and maintaining Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives Setting and controlling budgets, targets and objectives (KPIs), and providing regular reports on progress in order to achieve the overall organisational and financial objectives Effectively managing labour requirements, manpower planning, production planning, stock management, instrumentation calibration, plant improvement while developing innovative systems and processes Improving processes and policies in support of organisational goals, formulating and implementing departmental and organisational policies and procedures to maximise output, and monitoring adherence to rules, regulations and procedures Ensuring Health and Safety and environment compliance of all manufacturing plants To be successful in this Operations Director role, you must have 20 years of experience in handling day-to-day operations of manufacturing lines, plant improvement projects and CapEx projects. qualification in Engineering or related field of study MBA is highly preferred Minimum 20 years of operations management experience, preferably within the electronics manufacturing environment 15 years of senior managerial experience in high volume manufacturing environment with exposure to financial accountability Prior experience in automotive seat manufacturing is highly advantageous Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management and certification systems Experience moving existing production and intralogistics processes to Industry 4.0/Digital processes Knowledgeable in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and other improvement methodologies Six-Sigma black belt certification and extensive experience in TPM and DFM methodologies are added advantages Prior multi-plant management experience would be a major plus Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style Excellent at operating in a fast pace, community environment Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done Ability to look at situations from several points of view Demonstrated leadership ability with strong strategic mindset Passion for bringing about a positive change to an organisation
