Head of Production and Supply Chain

Job Description : Head of Production and Supply Chain DUBAI looking for an experienced Head of Supply Chain and Production. The company is a local production company with own retail channels. Your job will be to lead company’s supply chain and build a strong production and retail function, to take the overall responsibility and accountability for the GCC area. You will be part of the management team reporting directly to the Chief Manufacturing Officer. The manufacturing function will cover various processes and methods to transform raw materials, components, and parts into finished goods for customers to required standards of quality, cost, delivery and safety. Overall Purpose of the Role: · Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing production levels and driving operational excellence. · Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire, and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills. · Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the supply chain function to ensure that all production orders are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Strategy and Development: · Overall responsibility for supply chain and manufacturing activities across the business · Create and implement best practice vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance. · Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process. · Take ownership of the manufacturing policy, guidelines, and any associated documents · Initiate and develop creative and innovative processes. General and Task Management: · Lead, develop and implement variable cost productivity programs across all areas of responsibility. · Coordinate team activities to optimize cost performance of the material workflow and the plant through capital investment programs, optimizing operating working capital usage and minimizing waste through the development of a continuous improvement culture encompassing lean principles and clear strategic development · Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions. · Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance. · Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements. Qualifications and Experience Levels: · Educated to degree level (preferably Masters) in a relevant supply chain or manufacturing discipline or equivalent qualification. · Demonstrable experience of leading supply chain function with a proven track record in strategic leadership delivering effective strategies, policies, processes, and systems · Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements. · Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level · Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive or food processes, components, and manufacturing techniques Package: · Annual salary up to 500.000 AED · Relocation support if to move from another country. · Extended health insurance · Company car according to companies’ policy
