Job Description : VP HR CANADA Open to candidates worldwide a leading player in the retail category, with a strong commitment to providing quality products and exceptional customer service. Due to significant growth and expansion plans, we are seeking a strategic thought leader and experienced Vice President of Human Resources to successfully scale the business. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing HR strategies that support the business objectives. Your role will encompass various facets of HR management, including the creation of employee handbooks and onboarding materials, oversight of training and development plans, and the creation and delivery of compensation and benefits programs. Your expertise will help attract, develop, and retain top talent in the organization, as well as ensure the people parts of the business remain operationally healthy now and into the future. Some of what you will do in this role includes: Develop and maintain a comprehensive employee handbook that outlines company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Create and update onboarding materials to ensure a smooth and informative orientation process for new hires. Collaborate with department heads to incorporate department-specific onboarding content. Oversee the design and implementation of training and development programs that enhance employee skills and career growth. Monitor the effectiveness of training initiatives and continuously improve programs to meet organizational needs. Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements, including safety and industry-specific training. Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent. Evaluate and benchmark compensation packages against industry standards and market trends. Provide guidance on salary structures, bonus programs, and employee benefits, taking into account legal and financial considerations. Oversee the administration of health and retirement plans, and work with vendors to optimize benefits packages. Collaborate with recruitment partners to identify and attract top talent for all levels of the organization. Implement strategies to enhance employee retention, including career development and advancement opportunities. Foster a positive and inclusive company culture that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction. Stay current on employment laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance. Provide guidance on HR-related legal matters and collaborate with legal counsel when necessary. Investigate and resolve employee relations issues as needed. Develop and maintain HR metrics and reporting systems to track HR key performance indicators. Utilize data to drive informed decision-making and HR process improvements. You should have most of the following in your background to apply: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. HR certification and / or accreditation (e.g., CPHR). Experience in retail. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals. In return you can expect the following: Salary between $160,000 to $190,000. Performance bonuses.
