Assistant General Manager

Job Description : AGM TRANSPORT/WH / OPERATIONS THAILAND dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to oversee the integrated operations of Distribution Center (DC) Operations, Warehousing, and Transportation. This position is pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination between warehousing activities and transportation logistics to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all aspects of distribution center operations, including warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation logistics. Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures to optimize warehouse and transportation operations, minimize costs, and improve overall efficiency. Lead a diverse team of warehouse, transportation managers, and drivers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of products to customers. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) to track inventory levels, monitor shipments, and optimize route planning and scheduling. Manage Profit and loss budget. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics related to warehousing and transportation activities, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies and procedures related to warehousing, transportation, and environmental health and safety (EHS). Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Proven experience (10 years) in warehouse management, transportation logistics, and distribution center operations, with a demonstrated track record of success in a leadership role. Experience in chemical industries, food, or ingredients. Strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of warehousing & transport
