Job Description : ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE MANAGER CAMEROON FOR OIL AND GAS Description Main missions: 1) Financial Management: develop and implement processes and procedures for production of management reports to assure accuracy, timeliness and completeness. 2) Accounting: · monitor these processes constantly to ensure that they are relevant to the business requirements, meet SYSCOHADA & IFRS standards, corporate reporting guidelines, external reporting and compliance requirements and that they are effective and efficient. · ensure appropriate and timely application of the monthly balance sheet reviews and quarterly balance sheet team meetings between accounts custodians and accounts owners. · ensure that the company meets balance sheet quality KPIs targets. · ensure appropriate usage by the Accounting and Finance Department of the ERP. 3) External and Internal audits: · ensure annual statutory and compliance audits are performed by due dates. · ensure good corporate governance in the fields of finance, accounting and tax that support sound corporate governance of the business functions. 4) Corporate Risk Management: · establish and continuously evaluate effective and efficient risk management processes, tools and procedures. · appraise management of these processes and the trends that have or might have an impact on the business and financial wellbeing of the company. · monitor and provide company leadership with results, trends, costs and business impact of the various business risks on an on-going basis. 5) Internal Controls: · in liaison with internal controls section and business management, identify, develop, implement, assess and monitor appropriate internal control processes, procedures and guidelines. · periodically review the internal control processes to ensure that they meet emerging business needs, flawless execution guidelines and external compliance requirements. 6) Capital Management: · provide leadership, information and advice in management of the company’s working capital. · Implement and review cash and cash flow management systems, purchase-to-pay systems, inventory monitoring processes and credit management and monitoring tools to ensure that the company assets are acquired, recorded, reconciled and monitored timely, accurately and appropriately. 7) Tax: · ensure that tax management, tax planning & tax monitoring processes are ensuring full compliance and optimization in the best interest of the company. · coordinate tax audit and relationships with the tax authorities as required. 8) Financing: · maintain and establish bank relationships as necessary · ensure that the funding necessary to support the business and its development is in place · manage excess funds and investments in line with the Group guidance · ensure adequate sourcing of foreign currencies 9) JVs accounting and finance coordination: oversee the A&F function and the preparation of the financial reporting as per Group requirements of JVs and financial participations of the company. 10) Procurement management: · oversee the procurement function, in terms of suppliers’ identification and management, ensure that procedures and payments are made according to the contracts’ terms and conditions, inventory management. · ensure that tendering processes are performed as per Group standards and are in full compliance with local regulations. 11) Team management: develop, coach, mentor, motivate the team / direct report: 6 people Requirements: · University degree or equivalent in Financial Management · Extensive proven experience in Financial leadership position, preferably in a major Oil & gas distribution company (or Commercial and retail sector) for a subsidiary of a multi-national company dealing with import-export environments · Experience in managing / leading procurement function · Strong track record of setting strategic direction and exceeding business goals · Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret Financial data into sound decision making · Strong team leader and cross functional worker, with experience of managing, coaching and developing a team · Fluency in English is required (speaking and writing · ERP experience required – SAGE ACCPAC / SAGE 300 preferred ·
