Job Description : IT MANAGER ZAMBIA prominent player in the FMCG industry, is seeking an experienced IT Manager with strong SQL skills to join their team in Lusaka. This role is pivotal in managing the network and server infrastructure, ensuring the security of the company's computer systems and electronic data, and leading the development and implementation of customized systems. The IT Manager will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing database systems that are crucial for the organization's ability to store and retrieve information efficiently. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset to support the company's operational and strategic objectives. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the network and server infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability. Secure the company's computer systems and electronic data from potential threats. Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom and standardized database systems. Create queries, write and test SQL code, and ensure optimization of system performance, efficiency, and security. Conduct troubleshooting activities and provide solutions to ensure continuous operational improvement. Collaborate with other developers, project managers, and stakeholders to meet the company's technology needs. Lead and manage all computer-related activities within the organization, including data management and software engineering practices. Key Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, capable of guiding and developing an IT team. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize database performance and system efficiency. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work well with other developers, project managers, and stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. At least 12 years of experience in IT management roles, with a strong focus on database management and SQL. Proficient in SQL fundamentals, T-SQL, database modeling, and optimization. Experience in writing and testing SQL code is essential. Knowledge of data management, programming, scripting, software engineering, data architecture, and software optimization and security practices. Familiarity with web development technologies and practices.
