Job Description : Head of Procurement Location: Dubai, UAE Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to lead the procurement function for our client's real estate and infrastructure projects. The Head of Procurement will play a pivotal role in driving procurement strategy, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and ensuring cost-effectiveness in sourcing and purchasing processes. Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Lead the procurement team in identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving efficiencies in the procurement process. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating favorable terms and contracts. Monitor supplier performance and compliance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure quality and reliability of supply. Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and management of contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers. Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, including delivery schedules, quality standards, and pricing agreements. Sourcing and Purchasing: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and qualify new suppliers, leveraging market intelligence and industry best practices. Manage the purchasing process, including RFQ/RFP issuance, bid evaluation, and supplier selection. Cost Management: Monitor and control procurement costs, tracking spending against budgets and forecasts. Implement cost reduction strategies and initiatives to optimize procurement spend and improve profitability. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and regulatory changes. Develop contingency plans and strategies to ensure business continuity and minimize risk exposure. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support to drive professional development and performance excellence. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or relevant certification preferred. Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position, preferably in the real estate or infrastructure industry. Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations. Proven track record of driving procurement excellence, cost savings, and process improvements. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
