Job Description : OPERATIONS DIRECTOR MALAYSIA An FMCG company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Director to lead and manage the overall operations of their manufacturing plant in Negeri Sembilan. This role offers an exciting opportunity to optimise lean manufacturing, productivity, and GMP while ensuring a safe work environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing major strategic projects in support of the business plan. Opportunity to optimise lean manufacturing Lead and manage the overall operations (production, maintenance, utilities, project) of the manufacturing plant What you'll do: As the Operations Director, you will be at the forefront of leading the operations strategy in alignment with the business plan. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and maintenance practices, utilising creative thinking to identify strategic pathways for success. Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards will be a key part of your role, as well as developing local initiatives and building effective relationships with stakeholders. Your ability to optimise manufacturing costs and drive productivity targets will be crucial in this role. Furthermore, you will promote capability building, automation, and innovation in line with emerging trends. Operation Strategy align with business plan Continuous improvement Quality, Safety and Health compliance Cost of goods sold (COGS) IR4.0, Automation, Capability Building, Innovation and CAPEX What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Manufacturing Director role will bring a wealth of core experience in production and engineering and also experiences from various areas including demand planning, production planning/scheduling, logistics, inventory control among others. Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in demand planning, production planning/scheduling, logistics, inventory control, purchasing, customer service, commercialization, import/export, and manufacturing management activities At least five years' leadership experience Functional competencies in negotiation, communications, customer relationship management, foreign trade, material planning, operational excellence/lean manufacturing, logistics, strategic planning, infrastructure planning, financial management
